The prayer of Jesus Christ:
I pray for them: I pray not for the world, but for them which thou hast given me; for they are thine. (John 17:9)
I pray not that thou shouldest take them out of the world, but that thou shouldest keep them from the evil. (John 17:15)
Neither pray I for these alone, but for them also which shall believe on me through their word… (John 17:20)
Why is important?
For the eyes of the Lord are over the righteous, and his ears are open unto their prayers: but the face of the Lord is against them that do evil. (1 Peter 3:12)
